When owners Rick and Debbie Jefferies began brainstorming about the location for a friend’s wedding, they quickly realized the perfect location existed already - at the south end of the ShortRidge Course at RiverRidge. Standing underneath a small grove of lush trees, they envisioned a natural wood arbor to frame the bridal couple, backed by exquisite views of the manicured golf course lawns, water fountains, mature stands of trees and the Coburg Hills.

This Celebration Courtyard now provides a glorious private setting for your wedding. The natural wood of the arbor blends perfectly with the surrounding maples and other hardwoods whose dappled shade guarantees your comfort. Fully wired, the Celebration Courtyard includes lighting and outlets for your sound needs as well. The large lawn beneath the trees seats an unlimited number of guests and gives you a variety of choices for seating arrangements.

Rick and Debbie devote great care and consideration to every detail of this "outdoor entertaining area." Using a natural palette, they crafted the plantings to enhance the wonderful views and to create dramatic entryways for your guests and for the bride’s approach. Stone pavers surrounding the arbor continue the natural theme and container gardens featuring white flowers, including fragrant ornamental Orange Blossom, coordinate with any color theme.

Matched Play v When you book the Celebration Courtyard, the entire ShortRidge course becomes your venue. More than just an awesome span of green contoured lawns and plantings, the par 3 golf course and Croquet Court offer you unique activities for your guests and an extensive private area with unlimited possibilities for your celebration events. Debbie explains that "the sky is the limit" because with this large versatile space she says, "you could even arrive in a helicopter." She adds, "It’s perfect for family, friends and children. We can even set up a miniature golf course or bocci ball and there would be room for other activities like badminton, volleyball or a bounce house."

The Nines at River Ridge offers yet another resource for wedding events. With indoor seating for approximately 80 guests, a raised deck and large patio, it supplies a fabulous setting for your ceremony, reception, rehearsal dinner or bachelor/bachelorette party. Centrally located on the edge of the ShortRidge Course, The Nines’ large bank of windows affords lovely views of the Coburg Hills and the ShortRidge water feature and fountains.
